2026 NYS Championships Registration Open!
Registration is now open for the 2026 New York State Weightlifting Championships. Early Bird registration runs from Monday, June 1 through Tuesday, June 30. Regular registration will take place from Wednesday, July 1 through Monday, August 31. This event sells out quickly every year, and a waitlist will be created once capacity is reached. Sara Soto Appointed Vice Chair of USA Weightlifting BOD
Posted by USAW on April 15, 2026: "Sara Soto has been elected by her peers to serve as Vice Chair of the USA Weightlifting Board of Directors, filling the role vacated by Tayler Harris. Soto is currently an At-Large Director on a 2025-28 term, and will serve as Vice Chair through 2026 to complete Harris’ vacated term. Remembering Bill Deni
Our WSO is saddened by the news that NY Masters Hall of Fame member Bill Deni has passed away. Bill was an outstanding weightlifting and was instrumental on contributing to the growth of Masters weightlifting. Below are some words from David Meltzer and Bill's daughter Lara.
