Coach of the Year
Awards Process
Eligibility Criteria: The NY WSO recognizes achievements in coaching.
To be eligible for an award a coach must:

Be a member of the NY WSO and in good standing with USA Weightlifting.

Possess a minimum of a current USA Weightlifting Level 1 coaching credential.

Have at least one senior athlete in the top 20 or one youth, junior, or masters athlete in the top 10 of the National Rankings in the Youth, Junior, or Masters categories.

The winner will be determined via a points-based grading system.

Award Recipients
The Coach of the Year is someone who demonstrates a high level of care in developing athletes. Their ability to motivate, dedication to the sport, and commitment to excellence inspire others across our organization and beyond.
