2023 National Championships Week Recap

Congratulations to all the athletes who represented the NY WSO during this year’s National Championships week in Colorado Springs, Colorado from Saturday, June 24 to Sunday, July 2. The NY WSO is proud of everyone’s hard work to reach this level of competition and their outstanding performances!⁣

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗦𝗢:⁣

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:⁣

Greyson Kriner (11U-39) earned bronze medals in the snatch (20 kg) and clean and jerk (30 kg).⁣

⁣

Cole Walsh (11U-55) earned a technique medal for his fantastic lifting. He went 6 for 6 with a 22 kg best snatch, a 31 kg best clean and jerk, and a 53 kg total.⁣

⁣

Oliver Combs (11U-39) earned a silver medal in the snatch (23 kg) and a bronze medal in the total (27 kg).⁣

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:⁣

Helen Filosa earned a silver medal totaling 131 kg.⁣

⁣

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝟮𝟯 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:⁣

Jasmine Nautel (W45) snatched 48 kg, clean and jerked 58 kg, and totaled 106 earning silver medals across the board.⁣

⁣

Natalie Hart (W64) earned a silver medal clean and jerking 101 kg and a bronze medal with her 166 kg total.⁣

⁣

Lucie Gehringer (W76) snatched 78 kg, clean and jerked 100 kg⁣, and totaled 178 kg earning silver medals across the board.⁣

⁣

Jacob Senate (M102) earned a silver medal clean and jerking 161 kg and a bronze medal totaling 286 kg.⁣

⁣

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝟮𝟱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:⁣

Lucie Gehringer (W76) earned a bronze medal snatching 78 kg.⁣

⁣

James Battaglia (M89) earned a bronze medal clean and jerking 167 kg.⁣

⁣

Joshua Cruz (M109) earned bronze medals in the clean and jerk (160 kg) and total (285 kg).⁣

⁣

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀:⁣

Dean Otsuka (M61) snatches 101 kg, clean and jerked 125 kg, and totaled 226 kg earning bronze medals across the board. This was also Dean’s 10th Nationals with his Coach Joe Triolo representing Lost Battalion Hall - Congratulations!⁣

Michael Mo (M67) earned a bronze medal snatching 119 kg.⁣

⁣
